My nurse called to say that she faxed in my request for clomid to the my insurance last night at 7, and when she came in this morning the approval was there already! They approved me for clomid and for, get this.. insemination!! (if needed I suppose) So, now I have to call on cd 1, to get a us, and start the clomid on cd 3, 4, or 5.

Now I am hoping this spotting is AF coming, even if early, so we can get this show on the road. :)

I’ve got a monitor, sticks, bbt, gonna get clomid.. just need to start bd’ing!

YIPPEEE!!!

And, I am at home today because they are installing my new furnace and air conditioner. :)

I plan to put ni a call to my nurse in a bit to see what she thinks.

I had seen this before, but forgot about it. It is taken from http://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/hpt.html. This site reports that it can test at 25mIU. “First Response Early Result is a relatively new test that claims you can test 3 or 4 days before your period is due. Calls to the company about the hCG level detected have been answered with “no comment” or “privileged” information. An e-mail to the FDA about the test received a reply of 25 mIU, but this is not in the customer-searchable database. When it came out, a couple of people e-mailed FertilityPlus to say that the new test detects 15-20 mIU. So far we have had several people report false-positives, faulty tests, and several who have been pleased with early and very early detection . . . It is important to note that this test won’t work for everyone because implantation (6-12 dpo) needs to occur before one will get a positive result.”

Just thought I would share that. It is quite interesting. I wonder if they have improved on their information recently.

it was not bad at all, so in keeping with tradition, here’s the whole story. My appt was for 1:45, I got there at around 1:50 because of traffic. I had to fill out paperwork because I am a new patient, then changed clothes. They did not call on me until almost 4 o’clock!! I also thought it really, really strange that once you are in your hospital gown, etc. you just sit amongst the other waiting room people who are fully clothed. hmmmm…

Oh yeah, I did remember to take 1200mg (I was taking no chances) of Motrin at around 1:25, so by the time they called me it was really working.

So when they finally did call me, I went in and sat for a minute while they got a couple more things ready. They had 5 HSG’s that day so they were moving things all over the place and cleaning up.

I signed the consent form, and was told the possible side affects, then I hopped up on the table. I had to hold my feet together, but legs apart. I felt like I was in ring around the rosey or something doing that. They put the speculum in, and “cleansed” my uhhhh.. cervix. That was just a little bit uncomfortable. Then they put the tube in and put the x-ray machine over me and turned on the screen. Then as they started inflating the balloon, I felt a little pressure, but that was the only cramp so far period. It was over in less than 5 minutes. I watched the dye go in the left side first, then the right. My tubes are clear, he said he saw no scaring in my “womb”, but did see a small cyst outside my left tube, but said it was very normal and should not affect anything.

He told me to make an appt to discuss the next step. He also said that increased fertility from the HSG can last from 4-6 months.

I got dressed and I was out of there! I can’t believe I had to wait in the waiting room so long, I thought we would have the rest of the day to blow off. Oh well.

So, now I guess I’ll call my docs office tomorrow and try to get an appt. I asked about making one while I was there with the doc that did the HSG who is not my usual doc (he seemed really nice), but the next appt was for July 19th!! I said no because I will have missed the next cycle by then. So, I’ll see what my own docs office says tomorrow. If they try to give me some far off date, I am going to just ask about talking on the phone and calling in a prescription or something. I am tried of wasting bunches of time just because of doctor’s available dates.

Overall, it was what I expected. I am glad there is not scarring or anything, because I would not want to have to deal with surgery.

for next Thursday, June 20 at 1:45. It will be cd 12, but everyone says that will be fine. I spoke to my nurse again, and I think I have decided to wait 1 cycle after the HSG to try with the clomid. So, keep me busy and help the next week fly by!!

We had our company picnic at work today, so I was not in the office on my computer. LOL. It was fun, but hot!! It was over 90 here today. Then DH and I went to see his mom in the hospital. She should be able to come home tomorrow or Wednesday.

I did get to schedule my HSG, but get this… because of the schedule of when they do them, mine won’t be until cd 12. The doctor said that this will be fine. Has anyone else had one this late, or known of someone who did? I am sure it is fine since the RE said so, but I just wonder. I was upset for a moment and thought that I would have to wait until next cycle to have it.

I may still wait until next cycle after the HSG to try, because after 3 miscarriages I want to go for the gusto, and get the clomid too. And I’ve been told that I probably cannot have it the same cycle as the HCG, which makes sense to me now since it makes some people O earlier.

Well, have a great night all!

I can’t believe I am so happy to see AF. But she is here, right on time. I actually had a 28 day cycle on my own, without prometrium or anything. So, thanks. :) Now tomorrow I call to setup my HSG.
